  1. Necroshine is the 10th studio album released by the thrash metal band Overkill in early , on CMC International records.. It is the first Overkill album to feature a guest vocalist, with singer Blitz's sister Mary Ellsworth performing background vocals on "Let Us Prey" and a duet with Blitz on "Revelation". 3. I like the opening track "Necroshine"; excellent intro - this song has a very prog metal feel to it. The opening riff of "My December" sounds like something from Pantera, and overall this is a good song. "80 Cycles" is great, maybe the best song on the album, and one of the few songs where Blitz's vocal style does not grate on my nerves/5(32).

  6. Both "Necroshine" and "My December" are nestled comfortably in mid-tempo land, sporting riff sets that are quite basic and reminiscent of a rock-style with too much guitar distortion for rock radio. At times things take on a bluesy character, particularly conjuring up some melodic material that wouldn't be out of place on a 70s Sabbath album.
